Isabel Francis

Solicitor

Isabel competed her Legal Practice Course and Masters degree in 2021. She is based in the Litigation department.

During her studies Isabel volunteered at Swansea Law Clinic offering free initial legal advice and founded the Clinics outreach provision at Eastside Foodbank in Swansea to ensure that people using the Foodbank not only receive the advice they need but also have their problems addressed in full by bringing different agencies together to work as one.

Isabel has been involved in consultations with the National Assembly of Wales to give evidence on the Legislation (Wales Bill), which primarily focused on access to legal resources for those who are unable to access the justice system, as well as being involved with the consultation for Cyfraith Cymru and how to promote accessibility to devolved Welsh law.

Isabel has also worked on the Infected Blood Inquiry.

Not only has Isabel received the Law Work and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards for Best Contribution by a Team of Students, Isabel has also been recognised with the Diana Award, the highest accolade she can achieve for her social and humanitarian efforts.
